Why don’t people talk in the elevator?

After having problems with the timecode in our tape, we decided to make everything from the ground up. It turns out to be a very interesting project with a lot more of possibilities to develop.

Koyaanisqatsi

People interested in sound and vision should take a look at Koyaanisqatsi, a film that made a landmark and set a new way of doing cinematography that is more than common today. I was introduced to the music of Philip Glass by this film and love him ever since.

From wikipedia: Koyaanisqatsi (IPA: [ˈkɔɪɑːnɪsˌkɑːtsiː]), also known as Koyaanisqatsi: Life out of Balance, is a 1982 film directed by Godfrey Reggio with music composed by composer Philip Glass and cinematography by Ron Fricke.

The film consists primarily of slow motion and time-lapse photography of cities and natural landscapes across the United States. The visual tone poem contains neither dialogue nor a vocalized narration: its tone is set by the juxtaposition of images and music.

Not voice over but yet so powerful, emotive and beautiful.
